Communities

 

We are currently in the process of forming Gospel-centred communities of people for the purpose of being on mission together in our homes, neighbourhoods, jobs, schools and life.  These communities will raise up, equip and empower everyday followers of Christ to live out the Great Commission and bring the Gospel to places where there is no Gospel presence and allow communities of faith to birth in a simple/reproducable way.

We believe this expression of church is life giving, freeing and releasing.  It removes the baggage that does not belong, and opens up the floodgates for the Holy Spirit to move through transparent relationships.

What could you expect at a typical community gathering? Firstly there is no schedule, it is free flowing, there is always food involved, maybe great coffee or wine, lots of catching up, a participatory study of the Scripture and prayer for those involved.  It could be that one time you would go and mow someones lawn that needs mowing, go and visit some people who never get visits from people, or meet another need in your area that you are aware of. The mission list is endless.

New Communities Starting:

A Young Families Community beginning on Sunday mornings in Thornlands (Brisbane Bayside). Brad and Kristy figured that Sunday mornings are probably the best time for young families to meet, being a young family themselves.
